Bananas, Birds, & Bees
This 2hr activity is adapted from our STB award-winning Rooftop Farm Experience held at Siglap, and now plays out on a bigger scale at Changi. Come cuddle our chickens, meet rescued honeybees, and forage from a permaculture Food Forest. Most importantly, learn how everything in nature is interconnected.
About
On the rooftop at Sundowner Siglap, we brought buzzing nature to an urban neighbourhood, but are somewhat constrained by the shophouse walls.
With over 10,000 sq ft at Changi, we are supersizing the concept by harnessing the full power of soil and sun to practice permaculture: What is permaculture?
This is the concept of utilizing land, resources, people, and the environment in a manner that doesn't produce any waste – and encourages the use of closed loop systems seen in nature. Essentially, it is working with nature to produce and heal the land, rather than working against nature (such as high tech aircon farms).
You will learn the role of animals in soil fertility, such as chickens which aerate the soil and lay down poop as fertiliser. Cuddle some for a bit of animal therapy!
Honeybees play a crucial role, and you will don a beesuit to go up close and inspect our rescued bees, and even taste some honey!
Lastly, walk amongst a food forest and learn how we collect food and horticultural waste to make compost that enriches the soil. Forage and taste produce such as jambu, guava, and maybe even a mango, with a side treat of unifloral honeys!

Adults (13 and up): $125 per person

2 pax (All ages): $375 total.
>2 pax: $375 for 2 pax + $100/ additional pax.
(E.g. 5 pax will cost $375 + 3 x $100 = $675)

Cancellation Policy
1. For Join-in bookings, all payments are strictly not refundable. We can postpone your booking if you inform us:
a. >3 days (72 hrs) before the event: This can be done, just let us know your new date. There will be no charge to reschedule, but we cannot do refunds.
b. <3 days (72 hrs) before the event: We are sorry that you are deemed to have missed your booking. A refund or reschedule is not possible. In such a case, you can either i) re-book your event for another date (with 10% off as you'd be considered a returning customer), or ii) ask a friend to attend on your behalf.
(PS: 72 hrs is 72 hours, please don't fudge this cut-off)
2. For Private bookings, if you wish to drop the number of attendees and inform us:
a. >3 days (72 hrs) before the event: Full refunds can be made only for those who drop out. If you wish to cancel the whole event after paying, we can refund 50% only.
b. Within 2 days (48 hrs) of the event: Full refunds can be made for up to 10% variation of the total number booked. E.g. if booking was for 20 pax, refund can be done for up to 2 pax only.
c. Only on the day (within 24 hrs): No refunds, no postponements. As we would have already prepared our staffing and material accordingly.
All bookings come with your understanding and acceptance of the above cancellation policies.
