A countryside getaway set up in a tropical-colonial theme, House of Melissa is a true escape from daily life. It is run by the award-winning Sundowner Nature Experience Centre.

Set in a lush garden setting with rescued honeybees, free-roaming chickens, and edible plants galore, this is one of the few farmstays in Singapore -- It's garnered a 5-star rating on Google Reviews and proudly covered by local media.

Inside the House, step back in time amidst vintage décor and pictures of old Singapore and Changi. The House boasts a gorgeous vista of the Ubin straits and the bobbing sailboats moored just outside. Access your private gate to Changi Point Coastal Walk for scenic walks. Outside, enjoy all the facilities Civil Service Club offers, or explore the quaint Changi V on your complimentary bicycles.

Amenities

HOM occupies a spacious 10,000 sq ft lot, with indoor space of 3,000 sq ft. It has four rooms: three retained as bedrooms, and a dining room also to host our award-winning workshops. The whole House is fully air-conditioned.

HOUSE

Full aircon, Wi-fi. Apple TV, HDTV. 10-seater indoor dining room, outdoor gazebo with sink for light cooking. Indoor and outdoor Bluetooth speakers.

ROOMS

All bedrooms: Aircon, wardrobe, hairdryer, desk, chairs.

* Br 1 & 2 sleep up to 4 guests. Our rates below are for these 4 guests. Above 4 guests, we will open Br 3 and a top-up of $50 is payable per guest per night. This is for their bed and breakfast.

COOKING

Dining utensils, kettle, mini stove, 2 fridges. Outdoor dining area with sink. BBQ pit / Pizza Oven / Spit roast available for rent.

Complimentary DIY breakfast is self-prepared eggs; toasted brioche bread with spreads, fresh fruit; and coffee / tea.

TWO TOILETS

Shampoo, soap, towels. In the interest of sustainability, shaving kit, toothbrush, and toothpaste not included. Toilets are not en suite.

OTHER AMENITIES

Electronic safe, free parking, security patrols, emergency services. *Housekeeping is not included as part of your stay.

UNIQUE AMENITIES

Working gramophone, DVD library, travel guide books, essential oil burner. Honeybee apiary, organic farm, and free-roaming chickens outside.

House of Melissa is pet-friendly, following our Pet T&Cs (#8). Pet beds available, $70 per pet.

Your booking is exclusive - there will be no other guests and the whole House is yours. Private check-in available.

EXTRA CHARGES

Refundable security deposit of $200 for all stays (cash / credit card collected at check-in).
Pets charged at $70 per pet (We have 2 x pet beds).
The House can sleep up to 9 guests across 3 bedrooms. For >4 guests, add $50 per addtl guest per night. This includes their beds and breakfast.
If you are holding a party during your stay for:
0 - 10 additional pax: FOC
11 - 25 additional pax: +$150
26 - 50 additional pax: +$250

This is to cover increased utilities, wear and tear, and cleaning fees. If you hold a party >10 pax during your stay without our knowledge, we will deduct the above costs from your deposit.

Changi V Hood & Food

Changi Village is a anachronism of modern Singapore. Located at the Northeast, this neighbourhood exudes a unique charm with sandy shorelines decorated all through with coconut palms. Access to the beach, low crowds, good food, and nature make Changi Village ideal for a tranquil day out.

The village has been well-known since British times for its resorts and seaside vibe, and as a rural getaway from the hustle of city life. Today it remains a popular weekend getaway for people from all over Singapore. It is also home to Changi ferry terminal, gateway to Pulau Ubin and Malaysia.

Changi derives its name from Chengai trees which are indigenous to the area. The serene area shares historical importance for its active role in colonial conquest and World War 2.
