An Escape Room this is not!

Escape Room? Drinking sessions? Karaoke? Boring!

Here at House of Melissa, escape the mundane and do something special and memorable. This is for the office folk to foster team-spirit, or larger groups of friends/ family to spend quality time together.

Enter into a beguiling world created by Melissa Evelin. Over 2h, you will work with team-mates to decipher clues in and out of the House, sweat and curse when no headway is made, and cheer when you close in on the tenth and final puzzle. There are up to 4 trails available, allowing teams to face-off to finish first.

What To Expect

Each team will be given clues, which leads to the next clue hidden ingeniously around the property. This is not a random hide-and-seek but a cleverly designed game featuring mischievous wordplay, and tests your members' teamwork and communication skills.

Anytime during the game, you may break for the complimentary snacks and drinks, and at the end everyone will gather around to share their trials and successes. Original, imaginative, and above all lots of fun!

- 2 hours, on any daytime slot you choose, subject to availability

Cancellation Policy

For Private bookings, if you wish to drop the number of attendees and inform us:

a. >3 days (72 hrs) before the event: Full refunds can be made only for those who drop out. If you wish to cancel the whole event after paying, we can refund 50% only.

b. Within 2 days (48 hrs) of the event: Full refunds can be made for up to 10% variation of the total number booked. E.g. if booking was for 20 pax, refund can be done for up to 2 pax only.

c. Only on the day (within 24 hrs): No refunds, no postponements. As we would have already prepared our staffing and material accordingly.

All bookings come with your understanding and acceptance of the above cancellation policies.

GST applies for GST-registered corporations. We absorb GST for individuals / private bookings .

The beauty of pollination! Our native bees buzzing around the stamen of Passion fruit, collecting its gold-green pollen.

Pollinated fruit is known to be bigger, better, more sweet, more nutritious, with a longer shelf life.

Today we began our Training & Talks programme, where @clarencechua spoke to a (30-year old!) finance company on Plateauing, Pivoting, and Pareto's & Parkinson's Law.

They also played our Treasure Hunt designed by the late playwright Jonathan Lim.

After a year growing in deep compost-infused soil, the edible garden is really taking shape now! All power-pollinated by our bees , which we will feature in another video 😁

House of Melissa is perfect for large family day outs 🎊 Today we hosted Nee Soon residents for a farm tour where they caressed friendly earthworms, greeted our rescued native honeybees, and played with our ducks and chickens!

We planted this a year ago and today we harvested our first bananas!

Their prior aviary was just 2x2m, so we bought a 15m long fish net and draped it across some trees to create this!

Today we spread the love, donating over 10 organic papaya to workers handling our landscape!

We started planting our farm in September of last year. It's taken a year to bear fruit; now let the foraging fun begin!

Did you know?: We are one of only a handful of hotels in the world, with honeybee tours.

This is bonkers! The banana growing at the Banana Circle are 10 times taller than the one in normal soil. And they've just started madly fruiting too!

Shout out to permaculture guru Marcus at @habitatcollective.sg who introduced the idea...

A banana circle is simply a circular hole about 2m dia and 1m deep. The earth removed from the hole is mounded around the outside and used to grow plants. The pit in the middle is used as a wet composting area. The breakdown of organic material provides nutrition for the plants growing around the perimeter.

We positioned the circle at lower ground where runoff is direction into: As bananas like lots of water and are heavy feeders, it's a great way to deal with a problem boggy area. As well as a place to dispose of your compost and kitchen scraps, which we get from @lionbreweryco_taproomsg 's spent beer grain!

Now who wants to try our harvest a week or two from now!

Right outside our hotel @house.of.melissa in Changi Village, twice a day, you can experience what a low tide brings in: a really cool intertidal walk with foreshore critters you never knew still existed in Singapore!
